Oshada, a PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne, focuses his research at the intersection of Intelligent Transportation Systems and Machine Learning. His research contributions include three publications at IEEE/CVF WACV 2022, IEEE ICMLA 2021 and IEEE IV Symposium 2022 focused on road marking detection, lane detection and traffic sign detection, respectively.
Furthermore, he was able to achieve the country’s best results in the Mathematics stream during his A/L exams and he has been awarded the CIMA Sri Lankan Prize for his operational case study. His passion for technology and innovation drives his impactful contributions to the field. With a B.Sc. Engineering (Hons) in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Oshada brings 2+ years of work experience as a Data Engineer at ADL and a Machine Learning Engineer at WSO2. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, playing badminton, and swimming.
